Guest Speaker Father Bill Minigan

Father Minigan is no stranger to Visitation Parish-Sacred Heart, Manchester by the Sea and St John’s, Essex. Father Bill filled in for Father Paul during his cardiac recovery last fall.

A Beverly native, Father Bill retired to Gloucester two years ago after 20 years serving as pastor of St Joseph parish in Malden. Two decades as pastor is unheard of these days. He must have been exceptional.

Those who have heard his homilies agree that although Father Bill is short in stature, he is long in wit and wisdom. His remarks will hold our attention as he shares his experiences as a Knight of Columbus, a parish priest, a US Navy chaplain, a long-term pastor— and what do you know, his time in the civil service as an IRS agent.

Father Bill’s presentation promises to offer the nearly 40 years perspective of a retired priest told with more than a touch of good humor.
